Favorite Blogger Outfit: Reminiscent

I say reminiscent because this fabulous top totally reminds me of Carrie's fab SATC2 dress!

But beside that, I just love this blouse (actually a mini dress, worn as a top) Jessica from Style Obsession is wearing and the amazing jewelry she has to boot!

Another Carrie Inspiration: Outfit of the Day

Carrie inspiration from one SATC movie (flower bomber jacket posted about earlier) to the next, on to the 2nd!  I loved many of her outfits in the 2nd movie, as I've posted a lot about already, but one I was excited to try myself:

the long top over an A-line skirt

I took my own spin and did this look for night:

Anyways - have you been to American Apparel lately?  The girls and I stopped there (after H&M, of course) in DC and loved (in theory) the 3-D Flower Mesh top.

It's so cute, right?!  Here it is styled in store on a manaquin:

Not as cute... a little frumpy.  Maybe with the right bottoms (wearing it over a dress), but wasn't for my bod - but gosh I wanted it to work. It's pretty heavy, but mesh, so breezy.

Um, and doesn't remind you of  Miss Carrie Bradshaw's amazing flower bomber jacket in the 1st Sex and the City Movie.  She wore it to see Charlotte in the hospital after giving birth:

Sex and the City Inspired Birthday Party

This past weekend, a group of girlfriends and I not only went to see Sex and the City, but also celebrated a birthday!  So in honor of the movie and birthday, I hosted a happy hour at my house before the night viewing of SATC2.  The theme was pink, shoes, and drinks (of course!):

More SATC 2 Outfit Resembles: Carrie's light pink dresses

Carrie's looks (if you can't tell by now) is my fav of the SATC girls.  They all dress fantastically, but for some reason feel more inspired by Carrie's.

In the 2nd movie, she wore 2 lovely pink dresses that seemed perfect for summer.  My fav was the one-shoulder easy breezy dress she wore with the girls when they first got to their hotel:

Loving the way Carrie's ballgown-like skirt was paired with a t-shirt for a unique, fun and day appropriate outfit. 

This skirt actually started out as a slip!  Patricia Field loved the color and design so much, she used it as the skirt.  This outfit is compared to her short tutu from the series intro scene (learned from here).

Carrie Bradshaw's Dress Look-a-Like's

I'm still in admiration over the clothes and stylings worn by Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda in SATC 2.  I'm still trying to find certain movie photos of some of my favorites - but here's what I've found so far!

On another note, I loved the movie!!  Amazing!

The wait is over!  I'm ready to see the glitz and glamour these ladies exude.  I'm ready to catch up with the them.  I'm so ready.  Tomorrow night I'm off to celebrate a birthday Sex and the City style - drinks, shoes, girlfriends and then...the movie.  Can't wait.  When will you see the movie?
