Hot Pink & Gingham

A little bit of 80s neon with preppy gingham?  Yes, please.  Though I didn't realize until looking at these pictures how short this short dress really is.  I think actually, I might have shrunk this, because it didn't use to be that short.

{Dress - Old J.Crew, Gingham Shirt - Gap, Black/white cuff - Gift, Black Flats - Nine West}

 Oh and I got new hair.  Well, a hair re-haul. I went back blond(er), took an inch of dead ends off all around and then 2-3 inches off for layers throughout.  So, it looks a little short and blonder - and I'm able to wear it straight and not see fried ends!  It feels oh-so-good.  If you are in the Kansas City area, I highly (HIGHLY) recommend the amazing (hair artist if you will), Debbie at Belle Epoch.  Call (816.421.2040), get scheduled with Debbie & tell her Meggy from Chasing Davies sent you!

One of the best parts about Miss Debbie (and there are a lot of good parts), she gives an amazing hair wash...like head massage, great products and a good, deep cleaning.  I wish I could go to her once a week just for the hair wash alone.

Day 20 {Denim on Denim}

Back to this denim tunic - I might wear this thing so much in this 30 day remix challenge that I might never wear it again after!  But here I am again, on Day 20 wearing this uber comfy denim tunic top.  I rolled up my sleeves, layered over my stripe J.Crew top and wore with more denim to try and make it look different.

{Pirate boot wannabes, and a little bun too}

I wore all my best denim to work because I had a fancy night out for a work "thing".  We first went to Manifesto for drinks.  Same place I was just at on Day 13.  Ya, I'm hooked now.  So anyways, back to the speakeasy-style bar below a fancy restaurant, I got my new favorite drink.  So good.  A rum drink called Winter in Buena Aires.

We then went up to that fancy restaurant for dinner.  The Rieger Hotel Grill & Exchange had something for everyone - mainly a meat joint, they even had a vegetarian option for me and it was amazing.

Yum Yum!
