Green Candy Striper Dresses with a Pop of Blue

Sorry to bombard you all with so much striped content, but I love it. And I'm still loving my new Anthro buy: the Four Petal Cardi.  The green stripes with blue accent zipper really appeal to me.  And then I found this:

This dress if from Shabby Apple and I love it.  It is very Anthro-like.  Would it be too much if I got it since I have the Four Petal Cardi that is so similar?

Also similar, this dress from the Limited:

Or for cheaper options:

Color block dress with solid green & stripes on the top.

More teal than green, but similar and cheap by Forever21.

Another more teal striped dress, but cute!

Then just add that pop of blue in a belt:

Thankfully my husband already owns a tie similar to this:

So we can match. ;)
Kidding

What do you think?  You ok with green taking over red for the new candy striper outfit?  I love it!

Mixing Coral and Gray

Like I've mentioned before, pink is in for spring. In like flynn! From coral to light, barley there pink, it's hot. and pair it with metallic silver and wow! But what about less metallic and just plain gray?  It's still winter here anyways....

So I paired my new striped J.Crew top with my J.Crew Coral Dress I got a sale or two ago together to make this:

And the same day, my co-worker wore a similar color pallet of this:

This color combo definitely puts me in the mood for spring!  What do you think?

Need a dress for an event? Got $14?

Just had to share my latest purchase!  This dress was $14.  It was on sale and cheap, so I was skeptical on how it'd look, feel and fit.  Love it!

Crossover Party Dress in Avalon Sea

I ordered it online, so besides being wrinkled and creased from the shipping, I think it is a beautiful color and flattering fit.

It has pockets - BONUS!

The fabric is thick - not cheap or flimsy.

The only con, I think the straps might be a tad to long for me (and therefore the neckline is a bit too low) - but an easy fix I can do myself. :)

Shoe of the Day: Strappy Summer Booties

More summerized booties... these are more strappy than the last pairs I posted.  I like them all.  Though, I'm still drooling over the Choo's.

Nine West's Elkie Heels are on sale for $60:

Decorative Pillows For LOW Prices

Looking for decorative pillows at low prices?  Have you tried Walmart lately?  Yeah, me either - but then I saw a commercial for their Home stuff and some items caught my eye!  After tooting around on the site, I found some really great accent pillows for not a lot of money....

All these pillows are only $12-$13 each!

Hometrends Meadowlark Decorative Pillow

 Opera Button Dec Pillow 18x18"

 Microsuede Pillow

 Hometrends Sirocco Decorative Pillow, Black

 Hometrends Horus Decorative Pillow

 Hometrends Costa Decorative Pillow

My fav is the blue pillow with white circle patterns - not sure if that fits in anywhere in my house...but maybe if it's the right shade of blue in person, it could go with my bedroom.

Anthropologie Visit & Lusts

I visited Anthro to check out the last of the sale and the new arrivals.  I left with an adorable top and major, major lust.
Let's start with what I left behind, for now:

Curled Ribbon Tank
I like this, it's flowy, light and pretty, but not $70 pretty....

 From Monet Skirt
Such a cute skirt - the pattern specifically, unfortunately this fit is not for my hips and behind.
Very cute on others.  Would be so cute with a striped or polka dot top.

Climbing Cowlneck
Shown on me below (in a size too small)
I liked this shirt a ton, but couldn't decide what color I needed/wanted - so am living w/o for now.

What I left the store with:

I love how they styled this skirt and sweater together - LOVE.

Four Petal Cardi

And what is sitting in my online shopping cart right now....

I love love love and they didn't have my right size in the store.
Here I am in the size smaller - it zips up but, sits a bit higher, I think the size up would sit lower, and therefore the skirt would be longer....
(Here show slightly unzipped to see how a larger size would fit)
Aniseed Skirt

Do I get it?!?!  I love the stripes (a pattern here...) and would be so fun to play with and style.

You lusting over anything at Anthro right now?  Or get anything great lately?

Low Fat Wednesday: Dream Cereal

I loooove cereal.  But often it's not good for you, or if it is, it doesn't taste good or it's not fulfilling.  In looking for a high fiber cereal, I found Kellogg's All-Bran.  So I tried it.

I used 1 cup of my Almond Milk with 2 servings of Bran Buds - filling, good, and only 190 calories in total.

Polka Dotted Legs

My outfit includes my favorite tights - my black hose with polka dots.  I got these last year and still love them, and luckily I have these now that the polka dot is a spring trend.

Polka dot tights from Nordstrom's last year
Black cardigan from Target last year
Rosete black and white top from Forever21
Skirt from J.Crew, also worn here
Black flats from Nine West via Marshals

Jewelry: Spotlight on Marine Wester

Beautiful jewelry pieces for all budget levels. This retailer has had products featured in all sorts of my latest magazines, so I just had to check it out.

Like these beautiful Crystal Drop Earrings were in this month's InStyle:

Only $31!

A very unique and ornate statement necklace:

$86

Pearls with a rough and rocker chic edge necklace:

$41

This eye catching crystal bracelet is amazing:

$77

Dress for Less: Chambray, Ole!

When I get on a kick, I really get on a kick.  First I need a blazer, I got two.  Now I need some casual button downs to layer and mix and match, and now I got two.

So this week's Dress for Less is the Chambray Button Down Shirt.  J.Crew makes it look so good:

With stripes and a mini

 Opposites attract with sparkles

So, I got one, but not from J.Crew. I got mine, for $23!  J.Crew's chic shirt runs $78.  So I think mine is a good alternative:

Hello Yellow!

We've made some home progress!  The living and dining rooms are really taking shape... After many deliberations over paint choices, and with all your help to my gray and yellow paint options, we've made some choices.

First, remember how it all looked before?

All caramel-y brown trim and white walls?

After the many hours of prep work, and then priming, the wood work was enameled white and (even though so very smelly) it's so pretty.

All white wood work!  So bright and pretty.  Here it is all taped up for wall paint....  And the yellow wall paint.... drum roll please....

I love it! It's so bright and airy.  I know yellow is not for everyone, it's bold and bright and in many people's homes I find neutral paints, but that's just not me.  I need color, I love experimenting and doing something different.  Plus, wall color is easy to change if I get enough sunshine over the next few years. :)

So anyways, the paint we chose to use Behr Sun Shower.

This is just a little sneak peak before the decorating, and putting our room back together again process takes place (hopefully starting TONIGHT)!

Next we'll be working on our halls with the Grey paint we chose....you'll just have to stay tuned to see the one we picked!

Now you can cuddle with Robert Pattinson!

With this, Rob Pattinson, pillow!!

Or are you team Jacob?

This is pretty funny, and creepy... but thought I'd share. :)  Found via Huffington Post.
