All I Want for Christmas....

Is you, and you, and you! And health and happiness and peace. I wish everyone to have a wonderful and safe holiday season. And if Santa decides to stop by my house... these fabulous things...

The amazing smell of Anthropologie's Volcano candles (I want to fill my entire house with the smell)...

Capri blue candle in volcano

A new flat iron...Solia Flat Iron (goes up to 450 degrees):

The largest bottle of this goodness possible:

Philosophy's Grace Lotion

All of these books (the ones I don't have). Especially...

These shearling mocs with metallic bow - I love my Target Fur Slipper Moccasins so much, that maybe it's time to upgrade? The fur in mine is matted down and, while still lovely, not as plush as it once was.

And anything else from J.Crew... anything. Like...

Skinny crushed-glitter belt
Felted-wool bistro mini
Sequined starland tank
Shadow facet bracelet

What do you want for the Holidays? I'm sure my list will keep growing...mainly to include home stuff (like paint, a sofa console, leather ottoman/coffee table). Anyways, what's the Holidays without a little wish list?

New Couch...coming in Jan 2010

We got a new couch this past weekend, well we picked it out, designed the shape and chose the color (a grey), ordered it and now, we wait. It'll take ~6 weeks to receive. Patience is not my strong suit.

This couch is the start of our living room grey and yellow transformation. But I guess I'll just have to wait...6.weeks. Until then, here is the couch, sorta:

Grey Sectional Couch
Ours is a very slightly a lighter grey color, and the "L" of the sectional is on the right side with no chase (even though I REALLY wanted a chase...our room is not conclusive to two sides jetting out). Anyways - this couch picture and the one we got is by Jonathan Louis at Nebraska Furniture Mart. This is a great brand because you can design the sectional you want - big, small, curved, straight, bottom choices, arm type options, etc. And there are tons of colors to pick from. There were like 10 greys alone.

I'm excited to get it...in 6 weeks. I guess that's what you get for getting to design the sectional that will be perfect for your room...

2010 Calendar Swap

Design Crush and Greedy Girl teamed up to organize a Calendar Swap. I immediately joined in. I love new calendars! I was partnered up with Dara at Enchanted Royals and today I received such a fun calendar!

This calendar is by SusyJack
Come January, this will be making it's home right on my fridge.
It's like a little piece of art. I love the simplicity, large picture and long rectangle shape.

Want to know what calendar I got her? Check out the cute calendar here:

Calendar by AmyMarcella

They are pretty similar, huh? Guess we have similar taste! :) It was a fun swap and I'm super excited about my new calendar.

Thanks Dara!

Light Blue Master Bedroom

So, we're far from finished on our house, or even one room of it, but I've come a long way on our master bedroom. Let's take a look at where we started:

Before moving in, we painted the bedroom.

And now we've got it pretty organized...

We got curtains up today - that was fun! Really brightens up the room. I need some more lime green accents - maybe in some art, a throw blanket and/or small area rug (we don't have a ton of floor space left, after Chuck)...

The big projects left:

Paint the door frames, doors (bathroom, entry, closets), and window frames and sills white.
Stain current bedroom furniture a dark chocolate brown stain - anyone know of any good really dark stains, or would painting it chocolate brown work better?
Art/Mirror on the walls
Make headboard
New hardware (door knobs and light & outlet covers)

So there is still a lot to do....not to mention the rest of the house. But there is a big difference from where we started - so that's fun to see!

Fun Beauty Tool Find - Easy Nail Polish

This weekend, my friend whipped out this new handy nail polish - Sally Hansen Color Quick Fast Dry Nail Color Pen and painted her nails (and then mine) in under 5 minutes!

I love the new application for applying nail color. Instead of dealing with the jar and dipping the brush in and out - this pen does it all with one hand at the same time. Quick and easy!

Have you tried this new nail polish pen? I can't wait to pick some up for myself! Easier to store too...

Anthro Loot and Lust

Took a little trip to Anthropologie this weekend. After eying several things these past few months and a gift card burning a hole in my wallet, I spent some time there shopping!

What I didn't get, but left lusting after:

Anthropologie blue sweater zip cardigan review
Anthropologie blue sweater zip cardigan v sleeveTiming-Is-Everything Cardigan - $88
LOVE this cardi. Soft material and a beautiful blue. I love the zipper front and "V" detail on the sleeves. I think I'll keep my eye on this and hope it goes on sale...soon.

ruffle sweater jacket reviewWrapped-In-Ruffles Jacket - $128
Maybe if this goes on sale...I'll keep my eye on it, but $128 is too much. I liked it - it was fun and very soft, but not something I could wear too much since it is so detailed and unique.

The loot I walked away with:

Anthropologie dress reviewThis summery sale dress was only $30! Unfortunately, I don't see it online. This dress is a soft cotton that has elastic at the waist and nips in. Subtle ruffle down one side of the top adds some interest. And the dress has pockets. Yes to pockets, always. I think this will be an easy casual sundress or layer up for cooler weather.

Anthropologie in real life rippled tee review
Wind-Rippled Tee - $58

This knit is so soft and stretchy. I LOVE the ruffles, it's very interesting. I think this top will look really cute under a tailored jacket or cardi.

Anthro Checkered Please Jacket in real life pictureAnother sale item not available online. I've been eying this adorable houndstooth jacket (Checkered, Please Jacket) for awhile! It was on sale for $99. It has a hood - love that.

See it on Kim

Coat version of this jacket:
Greybar Coat - $228

Anthropologie tiered bold skirt in real life pic

Bold Felicia Skirt - $50 (on sale)

I love the fit of this skirt - very comfortable. The waistband is thicker and the tiers are soft and flowy. It sits just below the waist (depending what size you get - I went up a size to have is sit a little lower and looser).
