Shoe of the Day - Target Boots, again
Remember the cognac boots me and most of my co-workers got and are now all sporting around the office? What a great deal - they are comfy, cute and are holding up great (I've been wearing them a lot). So, the next reasonable thing to do - get the same boots in Grey.
Another co-worker and I received these today (free shipping from Target with $50 purchase). And at just $35, these babies are still a steal.
Sorry for the poor picture - but my take on them. They have a very slight shine too them, but not in a cheap way. They are a great color of Grey and the material really looks like leather. I can see myself wearing this a ton, making my cost per wear very low.

Low Fat Wednesday: The Perfect Sandwich
Easy lunch. Quick eat. On the go ability. Fast prep, no clean up. The Sandwich.
But, this easy lunch can sometimes add on calories unbeknown to the eater... Here's my no-fail, totally filling, satisfying and easy sandwich:
Using hummus as a substitute for mayo/miracle whip and even cheese (I know, that part is harder for me, but just try it!), dramatically cuts down on calories, but also ups the nutritional values and satisfying leave behind.
Using my favorite bread, Arnold Sandwich Thins, I spread a good amount of hummus on each bun. Then I add fresh, lean turkey from the deli. This sets up the basics for a nice sandwich - but from here I add tomatoes, sprouts, cucumber slices - whatever veggies I have around!

A lot of the sweater dresses come in neutral blacks, winter whites, greys or muted colors (plums, dark green, navy, etc). Winter clothes and too many dulls can really get me down. So just remember, you can always brighten up your look with....you guessed it - Bright Tights! Wearing colored tights can add a splash of something fun, without being too overwhelming - picture how much tight will actually show worn under boots and a sweater dress...not too bad right?

Happy Fall!
Fall has definately arrived in the Midwest, and while I'm not a huge fan of what that means (Winter around the corner, with all-too early spurts of it now), I do love the beautiful leaves and bright colors of the trees. I love layers of clothes and walks without spilling sweat. I love cuddling up in bed under tons of covers. I love spending time with my Charlie-Boy outside.
